Appointments
For non-urgent issues, please follow the guidelines below and choose the right service. An appointment may not be necessary.
This will help us to be more efficient by making an appointment available to you when you need it the most.

Pharmacy & Self-Care
Your pharmacy can advise you on minor illness without the need of an appointment. Please speak to a pharmacist first.
Pharmacy
Pharmacists are qualified healthcare professionals who can offer clinical advice, over the counter medicines and their use, to effectively and safely manage a range of minor health concerns. They can also help you to decide whether you'll need to see a doctor. You don't need an appointment and you won't even be asked to make a purchase. Every pharmacy also has a private consultation area for you to talk about your symptoms in private if you prefer.
Self-Care
Help and support available from many National and Local Organisations

Home Visits
Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery - where we have the proper equipment and facilities available - we do appreciate this is not always possible
In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 10am.
Telephone: 01903 850900
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. The PP - Paramedic Practitioner - will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the PP to schedule house calls.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
Urgent Appointments
For today and tomorrow (Monday to Friday). All requests to see a doctor will be assessed by a triage doctor before you are given an appointment.
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.
- Telephone: 01903 850900 - We triage calls all day, but please try to call before 10am. If you do not wish to wait to speak with a care navigator then there is a call back option and this will maintain your position in the queue and we will call you back on the number you rang on. Please keep your phone close by.
Important
You will need to provide a telephone number that we can contact you on when we call. A care navigatorwill call you back as soon as possible (we aim to call back within two hours). They will help you over the phone if possible, if not, they will book an appropriate appointment with you at the time.
Book a Routine Appointment
If you are already seeing a clinician regularly regarding an on-going condition, our care navigators will be able to book you in up to two weeks in advance, availability permitting.
You can request an appointment by either:
- Calling the practice on 01903 850900
- Submitting an electronic request for medical advice and consultations
If you choose to ring the practice, you will speak to one of our trained Care Navigators who will be able to direct you to the best clinician to deal with your problem. In order to do this, they will need to ask you a few questions about the reason you are calling.
