Tests and Results

Getting your test results

Test results and letters from local hospitals etc. reach us at midday and then have to be checked by the doctor. You can check your test result by using the NHS App and this is the best to check, initially, if you have access to it. Alternatively, you can get in touch with us online or call the surgery. However, we ask that you call after 2pm for test results, when the phones are less busy.

Our reception staff are not qualified to comment on results therefore it is your responsibility to check them and make any necessary follow-up appointment with the doctor.

People over 16 can now see new information added to their health record via the NHS App. This includes notes from appointments, test results, and letters.

Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.

For results from tests administered outside the practice, please contact the provider where you had your test.

Alternatively you can contact the ward or department where you had your test directly.
